FLIGHTS ARE LAUNCHED TO THREE NEW DESTINATIONS FROM BURGAS
Flights to three new destinations from Burgas to Poznan, Kaunas and Dublin will be launched by the low-cost company RyanAir in 2023. They will take place according to the following schedule: -Burgas- Poznan /Poland/ -twice a week, every Thursday and every Sunday from March 26 – Burgas- Kaunas /Lithuania/ – twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday from March 28 and Burgas-Dublin /Ireland/ - four times a week /every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday/ from May 2 The airport in Burgas operates 24/7 all year round, with efforts aimed at developing the potential for international markets, incl. in autumn, winter and spring, but the final decision on their operation is taken by the air carriers themselves and the passengers, whose interest in the specific destination is decisive. This was announced in a press release to the media by the concessionaire "Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" JSC. The company, which also manages the airport in Varna, rejected the allegations of inequality in the economic policy of the concessionaire for the development of the airports in Burgas and the maritime capital. And they presented concrete data other than speculation about public attitudes from financial and political circles on a regional scale: "From the beginning of 2022 until now, Burgas Airport served 1,621,220 passengers with 12,159 aircraft movements, which represents a 70% increase compared to last year, despite the lack of flights from the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus. The summer of 2022 was extremely successful for Burgas Airport, with regular and charter flights operating to 75 destinations from 23 countries, operated by 42 airlines, which is more than the number of passengers served at Varna Airport, which has served 1 since the beginning of the year 333,699 passengers with 10,332 aircraft movements'.
